What’s new in Sapaad: April 2022 round up

We’re rounding up April with an array of new features and enhancements to improve your Sapaad experience and your customers’ with your business.

In case you missed it, here are a few highlights from our April 2022 update.

Sapaad Integrates with SUNMI for Sapaad Kiosk

Sapaad has partnered with SUNMI, a payment terminal provider, to expand usage of its self-ordering platform, Sapaad Kiosk. Sapaad Kiosk is now integrated with the SUNMI K2 mini, a light-weight, dual monitor Android device with an in-built terminal, printer, and other advanced features. 

The SUNMI K2 mini is a wonderful addition to Sapaad Kiosk’s range of compatible machines for on-premise retail F&B operations.

Multiple Tax for Menu Items, Available on Sapaad

We have released a brand new Multiple Tax feature for Sapaad POS. Multiple tax rates can be added to menu items and computed automatically in customer orders, which simplifies and automates billing accuracy and back-end accounting operations. 

Merchants will be able to apply various specialized taxes directly to their menu items and reduce the amount of time they spend on tax filing and record reconciliation.

Sapaad welcomes JTC Mall, its newest partner for Sapaad Mall Adapter

Restaurants in JTC Mall in Singapore can use Sapaad Mall Adapter to integrate their Sapaad POS with the mall’s data server. 

Mall tenants with current Sapaad subscriptions will be able to regularly transmit all required gross turnover sales information according to JTC Mall’s specific requirements.

New User Interface for Sapaad Blog goes live

Sapaad’s blog has a new look! 

Our graphic and user interface redesign focused on giving customers an enhanced aesthetic and user-friendly experience. Readers may browse through our many informative articles on Online Ordering, Marketing, Technology, Operations, and know the latest about Sapaad releases through our regular Product Updates. 

You can also easily sift through the Blog archive by topic.

Sapaad Direct (SD) users can now sign-up for Sapaad’s Loyalty Program

Sapaad Direct online ordering customers are now given the option to join the Loyalty program. Prior to this change, everyone was automatically added to a restaurant’s Loyalty Program after placing an order.  

Sapaad CDS Offers Native Dark Mode Support on iOS

Sapaad’s Customer Display Screen (CDS) interface will now appear in Dark Mode if the user enables the Dark Mode general setting on their iOS device. 

Now, both POS and CDS users who activate this feature will enjoy high screen readability and high contrast settings in both bright or dark surroundings. 
  

Inventory Now Supports Barcode Scanning

Sapaad Inventory Manager has enhanced an item barcode scanning feature that will add scanned items automatically to the inventory when placing a new Purchase Order. 

This improvement reduces manual inventory input and streamlines any stock taking or ordering-related tasks. Simply scan the barcode and your inventory will be automatically updated.

Performance enhancements & fixes

For Sapaad LIVE Business Dashboard

• Sapaad’s reporting dashboard has placed convenient date-range limits to Report Export requests to one year or less. Reports of up to one year may be generated from any time since the start of your subscription, one report at a time. 
• We have also configured Saved Reports to show Failed Status alerts on the POS display for any unsuccessful exports.
• Sapaad allows users to export the Canceled Orders Report for a date range of one month (31 days) or less.

For Sapaad Loyalty

We’ve resolved several issues on the Sapaad Loyalty module that were related to invoice generation, namely: 

• The tax amount displayed is different from the actual invoice tax amount.
• The appearance of discounts originally not indicated in the invoice.
• The double display and application of VAT amounts on the invoice.

For Sapaad POS and Other Products

• Sapaad Web POS has been migrated to the Universal Menu to improve sync speeds across all platforms.
• We have addressed and corrected issues with our POS Modify Order feature to prevent errors with order subtotals, taxes, and totals. 
• We’ve also fixed a display issue with Sapaad CDS which caused ads to stretch horizontally or look distorted. 
• A bug with our Sapaad SMS counts featured on our CRM module has been fixed. SMS counts will properly reset to zero after an account subscription has been renewed. 
• We’ve also fixed an issue in Inventory where the supplier name was duplicated in the display.
• Item-wise total order reports will display an error pop-up when the user tries to generate a report beyond the 3-month range.
• Sapaad Online MyFatoorah orders which were incorrectly generated without a reference ID will be redirected to the Sapaad Online store page.
• Sapaad Online disables customers from canceling an order from one tab when they are logged out from another tab.
• Sales reports for Sapaad Mall Adapter users in Chijmes Mall in Singapore have been revised in accordance with changes in reporting requirements. Tenants who use our Mall Adapter feature can now generate hourly reports. 
• A bug that caused duplicate Zomato Go notifications has been fixed.
• Users with restricted Sapaad POS access will receive notifications that they lack the necessary permissions to visit specific areas of the interface.
• Sapaad has implemented data logs to keep track of customers who retrieve the menu from the MRMS. Information such as customer names and email addresses will be saved.
