JOB OVERVIEW

Sapaad is looking for a skilled and motivated Android Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Android applications across a wide range of devices, ensuring performance, responsiveness, and seamless integration with backend services.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on experience in Android development and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You should have a solid understanding of mobile architecture, best coding practices, and user experience principles

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Translate designs and wireframes into clean, high-quality, and scalable code
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend) to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Integrate applications with external data sources and RESTful APIs\
  • Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and implement effective solutions
  • Maintain code quality, organization, documentation, and automation standards
  • Write unit tests to ensure robustness, covering edge cases, usability, and reliability
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency

SKILL & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Android development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Solid understanding of Android SDK, UI principles, and best practices
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
  • Familiarity with payment integrations (e.g., Stripe)
  • Understanding of offline storage, threading, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of modern mobile architectures (e.g., MVVM)
  • Proficient with version control tools such as Git
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
