What’s new in Sapaad: March 2022 round up

We’re rounding up the first quarter of 2022 with an array of new features and enhancements to improve your Sapaad experience and that your customers’ with your business.
In case you missed it, here are a few highlights.
Sapaad.com, Sapaad POS, and Sapaad Kiosk, now in Arabic
Sapaad now offers its website, POS, and Kiosk-ordering services in Arabic!
For KSA subscribers, Sapaad.com is set to Arabic by default while Sapaad POS offers Arabic translations for Walk-in, Dine-in, and CRM modules. The feature can be activated by selecting the Arabic language option from the side menu of the home page.
Sapaad Kiosk subscribers will be able to promote convenient contactless experiences for Arabic-speaking customers, automate ad displays and promotions, and free up on-premise staff for critical in-store tasks.
We recently showcased Sapaad Kiosk’s latest updates at Foodex Saudi Expo 2022, which took place from February 28 to March 3 in Jeddah, KSA. Sapaad Kiosk is also available in Spanish and Mandarin, as well as English.

Sapaad welcomes payment partners Omise, Adyen, and Geidea
Sapaad.Online has added three more international brands to its roster of payment gateway partners: Omise, Adyen, and Geidea.
Omise accepts online payments from various channels including social commerce, while Adyen offers the benefit of online and in-person payments. Sapaad’s payment partnership with Omise is initially available in Singapore, while Adyen payments via Sapaad are available globally.
Sapaad’s native POS, in addition to Sapaad Kiosk, also supports payments from Geidea customers in Saudi Arabia.
Digital menus available with Sapaad Direct Lite
Sapaad subscribers can now generate and share their own restaurant digital menus via QR code – a feature that’s available on Sapaad Direct Lite, which comes free of charge for all Sapaad users.
Subscribers can also enable contactless ordering through the same menu by upgrading to the Sapaad Direct Pro Plan.
Order aggregation with Deliverect
Sapaad is now a POS partner with Deliverect, a Europe-based online ordering aggregator. This partnership enables our POS users to consolidate and process payments from additional online ordering platforms available through Deliverect.
Orders made through Deliverect will show on Sapaad POS sales reports, even for online ordering aggregators who are not direct partners with Sapaad.
Enhanced Offline Mode
We’ve made significant coding improvements to our Sapaad platform to enhance its performance in offline mode.
Sapaad Direct’s POS module for walk-in customers as well as our iOS tablet application can now take orders in offline mode — and will sync with online restaurant records once Internet service is turned on or restored.
This protects the integrity of your records in case of Internet disruptions and minimizes order inconvenience to customers.
Improved Label Printer support
Sapaad’s latest Label Printing service update offers added iOS and Android support for the Brother QL-820NWB Lined Label Printer and Fujitsu’s FP-2000CL Linerless Label Printer. Labels, invoices, and kitchen order tickets can be issued at any designated printer that is set up and connected to Sapaad’s Cloud Print Agent.
New Delivery Zone Mapping features
Sapaad.Online has improved its Delivery Zone mapping features on Google Maps for users in Malaysia, the UK, and the KSA. Restaurants will be able to visualize, map, and optimize new delivery areas according to postal code alongside existing delivery locations.
This enhancement will enable customers to search for restaurants’ nearest locations via postal code or name of the postal code location.
Sapaad welcomes City Hall Mall, its newest partner for Sapaad Mall Adapter
Singapore Sapaad subscribers located in City Hall Mall can now connect their POS to the mall’s server via Sapaad Mall Adapter. This feature allows mall tenants to format and automate daily GTO sales reporting and comply with mall sales and tax reporting requirements.
Custom delivery charges are available for all Sapaad customers
You can now set different delivery charges for different areas using Sapaad Delivery Manager. Rates can be adjusted for long-distance locations, lowered, or even removed as part of a “No Delivery Charge” promo to encourage sales.
SMS notification feature and token numbers are supported in Sapaad Direct
Customers who order through Sapaad Direct can now receive updates on the status of their order through SMS. Individual token numbers are now indicated in every SMS, reducing the risk of picking up the wrong order.
This feature can be activated by Sapaad subscribers who enable the SMS module on their POS.
Full compliance with ZATCA e-Invoicing in Saudi Arabia
Sapaad is now fully compliant with Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) guidelines on e-invoice issuing and processing.
Sapaad customers in KSA can generate QR-coded, Arabic language e-Invoices in regular or simplified format, and grant ZATCA direct access to critical financial information in accordance with local tax rules and regulations.
Performance enhancements & fixes
- Sapaad Direct has added a new menu feature that reduces menu file sizes, allowing it to load and sync faster after every update.
- Sapaad subscribers with multiple outlets can set individual store timings in 12- or 24-hour formats.
- The Delivery Manager now features a “New Orders” tab that helps filter and locate new delivery orders.
